We finally got to assemble the totem pole project that we have been working on for so long! I am so pleased with how it turned out. All it needs now is to be glued and transported to Weber Art Gallery for the Art as Memory art opening. I’m so proud of my St. Mary’s Center group for working so hard on this collaboration.
This project has helped me find the courage to show things that I would usually find embarrassing. I can’t tell you how many times (mainly in the beginning of the year) that I have made a spoon and then smashed it because I couldn’t bear the thought of putting it “out there”. These days, you all get to see the full experience (usually), warts and all. Some days I really don’t like the “spoon of the day”, but I put it out there anyway.
