Spoon a Day Challenge, Make 365 Clay Spoons in 2015: Day 82

My son suggested that I try a spoon that incorporates a Mobius strip. Never heard of a Mobius strip?

Per Wikipedia: The Möbius strip or Möbius band (UK /ˈmɜrbiəs/ or US /ˈmbiəs/; German: [ˈmøːbi̯ʊs]), also Mobius or Moebius, is a surface with only one side and only one boundary. An example of a Möbius strip can be created by taking a paper strip and giving it a half-twist, and then joining the ends of the strip together to form a loop.

So, here is my attempt at a Mobius strip handled spoon.

Spoon a Day Challenge, Make 365 Clay Spoons in 2015: Day 78, Take Three

I find that some days I really don’t feel like doing the daily creative exercise that I have committed to. I deal with this by making multiples instead of just the one. I’m not sure why it works for me, but I have found that it helps me power through the feelings of complacency. This is not to say that every time you see me post multiples that I don’t feel like making the daily spoon. Sometimes I make multiples because I just want to! But not today, today I had to power through. It just feels better to do three when you don’t even feel like doing one. 🙂

Spoon a Day Challenge, 365 Clay Spoons in 2015: Day 43, Small and Puffy Spoon

Small, hollow spoon. Created from two flat slabs of clay and gently made to be rounded. Then joined together to form the spoon. I know, I know…I should have taken pictures of the process…my explanation is definitely lacking.
