Feast your eyes on the last of the Fish Friday spoons for Lent! Easter is just around the corner and certain people that live in my house INSIST that they aren’t too old for an Easter basket. I guess you are never too old for chocolate. 🙂
My son suggested that I try a spoon that incorporates a Mobius strip. Never heard of a Mobius strip?
Per Wikipedia: The Möbius strip or Möbius band (UK /ˈmɜrbiəs/ or US /ˈmoʊbiəs/; German: [ˈmøːbi̯ʊs]), also Mobius or Moebius, is a surface with only one side and only one boundary. An example of a Möbius strip can be created by taking a paper strip and giving it a half-twist, and then joining the ends of the strip together to form a loop.
So, here is my attempt at a Mobius strip handled spoon.
Today is Fish Friday and also the 65th day of the year. 300 days to go for this project. I have been pondering about if I will do another 365 days project next year and what would it be. I think maybe cups? Bowls? Any suggestions?
This is dotted with colorful underglaze. After it is bisque fired, I will apply a clear glaze and everywhere that looks like “background” (just the plain clay) will be bright white. The underglaze will brighten up considerably too.
