The show is up! I am so grateful to 5-0-Lou on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, KY for giving me the venue to display my 365 day project. They recently opened up their store and it looks amazing! It is a terrific location and they are wonderful to work with to boot! Thank you guys! It is so incredible to finally see the whole project on display. It will be up through June 15th, 2016.
This spoon will have a wooden handle added to it after it is fired. It won’t be the one pictured, though. I will have to hunt around and find the perfect fit.
My big kid came home today! He went to a national math competition and represented well. 🙂 Glad to have him back. Proud of you kiddo.
Today’s spoon is made using texture from this little pine cone that I found in the yard. Happy Sunday, y’all!
Spoon handle texture made from the silver ring that is often in my spoon photos. The ring was my mom’s when she was a teenager. She must have had teeny tiny hands back then, because it only fits on my pinky. 🙂
I just can’t help myself. I use this shell texture all the time! I really love the result.
Large spoon bowl with vine-like handle.
Super sensory surface serving spoon.
Checkered spoon that looks a bit like a pipe.
